Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital
What our clients say
“Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital found Marvin to be not only extremely competent in the construction management role as well as he has an innate ability to develop relationships with the entire project team. Marvin has a way of holding people accountable in a way that is not offensive to the individuals.
The projects Marvin completed for MBSH all came in under the established budget and met our community need. Each of the projects for MBSH had unique challenges of working with existing buildings and budget constraints. Marvin was able to think creatively and push the team to make right choices to meet the financial challenges while not compromising the service level that we desired to provide for our patients.
His knowledge base and attention to detail in my experience are rare in construction management.”

BJC Healthcare
BJC Healthcare has engaged the expertise of Marks and Associates to guide their diversity and inclusion efforts for the renewal of the Washington University Medical Center Campus over the next 10 years and the volume of Planning, Design, and Construction work throughout BJC. Since starting this engagement in August of 2012, working closely with the leadership of BJC Healthcare and its construction partners we have already achieved the following
⦁ Development and board acceptance of a new diversity inclusion policy, programs, and procedures that will drive positive change in the St. Louis health care design and construction industry.
⦁ The organization and facilitation of several outreach events to introduce the contracting community to the 10-year expansion project, the new policy, programs, and procedures of BJC Healthcare’s Planning, Design, and Construction Department, and our “Training Under Contract” approach to building contracting and workforce capacity and diversity
The opening of our new offices, where we have begun providing business and construction management coaching and training to over 100 established and emerging minority and women owned firms interested in building their healthcare experience and becoming a viable contractor working with BJC Healthcare.
⦁ Assistance to prime bidders in developing or improving MBE/WBE and Workforce Utilization Plans for architectural, engineering, and construction services.
⦁ The pre-assessment and prequalification of minority and women owned firms for specific bid packages and scopes and ongoing monitoring of project outcomes for their duration.
⦁ The pilot testing of the latest technology utilizing radio frequency identification devices (RFID) to track workforce and allow for accurate and efficient collection of “real-time” data from the field.
